~ BROKE ASS MOUNTAIN ~

John Wayne,Gary Cooper,Tom Mix,The Lone Ranger, the list goes on forever it seems. How many of the heroes we grew up with would embrase broke back mountain as a viable cowboy storie? How many kids are going to get off their hobby horses and start riding their playmates? What in the world has these times come to? Hollyweird keeps pushing the envelope. All of a sudden rules have changed and not for the better. Language standards have changed. Films are a gamble now a days ...not if they are entertaining or not but if they are offensive or not. Can you just take anyone to a movie and not worry whether or not they will be offended? No No No. Even pg 13 rated movies has some sort of distastefull content. As a general rule of thumb there is so much nudity in todays films they far exceed what used to be a pornographic film is now no more than a rated r movie. I think it is time we start checking films content again. I am not in favor of censorship just more accurate labeling. Call em what they are.At least that is the way I see it.

I'll have to admit, I'm squeemish about this movie; I hear on the news that it will draw in more crowds of middle aged women, who are curious about this type of love relationship. Here is an excellent review:

Just don't go see it.

If enough people don't go, Hollywood will realize that the public isn't interested in these kinds of movies.

As to whether or not you're offended -- you can't be offended if you don't go watch it.

I will tell you where hollywood got their idea for this movie...SOUTH PARK!
Yes, a few years ago, Mat and Trey did an episode where the Sundance film festival came to south park. One of the films the kids were forced to see for a school project was about 2 gay cowboys eating pudding.
Now, they didn't say what kind of pudding and I am not sure if it was man pudding or not, but my guess is that a Hollywood insider watched this cartoon and said, "Hey, THAT is an idea for a picture!"

Because of all of the fellow travelers and the critics are drooling all over it, it is a shoe in for the oscars.

The last one I saw was The Return of the King, finally a decent fantasy film winning the spot instead of the chick flick drivel they put out these days.

I bet all three of the LOTR movies would have won best picture if Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas was having hot male on elf on dwarf.
What a horrid thought!
