} A Mothers Love {

A mothers love is a awesome force. It causes one to overcome huge obstacles, overlook gigantic character flaws, and sometimes can cause a mother to think with her heart instead of her head.
At this very moment in time there is a Gold Star Mother who is camping out on the roadway to President Bush`s vacation retreat. This Mom is addament on not leaving her camp site till the President agrees to meet with her. The media is telling this story without mention of her earlier meeting with the President.
Her son was killed in the Iraqi War and she feels like we should have no involvement in Iraq. She feels like because there were no weapons of mass destruction found that we should not have any presense there.
I am so very sorry to say Ms. Sheehan that you are disrespecting all of our troops involved in the war. Perhaps worse than that, you are demeaning your son's ultimate sacrifice.The very worst thing the general public can do to our troops is withdraw our total support of their efforts. The public has stated that we can support our troops but not support the war. How stupid are you people out there? Oh I love you honey but I hate what your doing. I realize that you are far from home and aren`t getting your proper rest or eating good home cooked meals, but the reason you are sacrificing all of these things is a crock of shit that is based on a lie. I know you believe in what your doing enough to re- enlist in many cases but you must be a booger eating moronic mouth breather to think that your country would support your sacrifices.
For Gods' sake people just look at what your opinion has done for the Viet Nam vet. To know that all you have went through was valued enough by your fellow citizens to be spat upon when you came home. To be refused jobs because the company was afraid of you cause you were a un-stable Viet Nam vet.These things happened, they really did. Our military today deserves our respect and our gratitude.They deserve to be honored by a gratefull Nation and most of all they deserve to be remembered and their sacrifices noted by at least their own mothers.
At least thats the way I see it here on Arrathorns Alley

You are telling it like it is, man.And protesting does nothing but incourage the ones that are trying to kill the troops and pt bombs in subwats and fly airplanes into our buildings. This is the whole objective of terrorism-to make the price to steep that others will give in to their demands.

It is a knee jerk reaction but a normal one. It is part of her grief. The problem is she is starting to get backing for the libs.
Cindy Sheehan has become the Rosa Parks of the anti-war movement," said Rev. Lennox Yearwood, leader of the Hip Hop Caucus, an activist group. "She's tired, fed up and she's not going to take it anymore, and so now we stand with her."
The HIp Hop Caucus?! WTF?!
I will not bad mouth a mother of a veteran being one myself, but I will say she is getting bad advice.
I would want to talk to BUsh myself if Jason dies over there. I would want to know that my son's death was not in vain and that we are going to finish the job. Tempus Fugent, Mr President. Time flies. Let's get this done.
That is how your sister sees it at Arathorn's Alley!
